Tutoring is a direct intervention over a short-term to help students complete certain assignments or prepare for tests (K-12, IELTS, TOEFL, etc). Academic coaching is a longer-term investment to help students of all ages improve their study and learning skills and develop greater self-awareness of their own learning styles, skills and strengths and weaknesses (meta-cognition).
